It’s so hard to know what to do when you have a provider telling you that you “have to” do something and you really don’t want to do it. What if you say no and something bad happens? What if you say yes and it wasn’t needed and it leads to other things that could be harmful that wouldn’t have happened if you’d stuck to your guns? It’s overwhelming and intimidating so today I’m going to give you 3 ways to do when your provider tells you that you “have to” do something so we can try to eliminate fear and think clearly and rationally about what we’re going to choose. This will mainly impact hospital births since home and birth center providers tend to be believers in informed consent rather than intimidation, but that’s not 100% the case so everyone could stand to benefit from what I’m gonna share today.
